We’ve got some news to share – we have made the difficult decision to give Nightfall a break for 2024. Don’t worry this is not the end, it’s a new beginning…
Running an event the size and scale of Nightfall, comes with its challenges. As an independent local events company, we are faced with increasing costs that makes delivering a beautiful, quality and accessible light event harder each year!
We love Nightfall. Over the last few years, we’ve loved bringing thousands of folks together, to enjoy a family friendly, interactive trail of beautiful art works, live music, performance, and storytelling.
This is the start of Nightfall’s exciting new chapter and we are committed to continuing Nightfall in 2025. Taking a year off gives our team the opportunity to thoughtfully craft its future to ensure we continue to be one of the headline cultural events in the region.
“Nightfall has proved a huge hit with families from far and wide, and has added a whole new dimension to our cultural offer in recent years. While I’m sorry it will be taking a break this year, I can’t wait to welcome it back next year when I’m sure it will be bigger and better than ever.” – Councillor Philippa Storey, Middlesbrough Deputy Mayor and Executive member for Culture & Education
We know this will be disappointing for our Nightfall audiences, who have come to know and love Nightfall as an annual light event, but we believe the break will ensure #Nightfall25 shines bright!
AND Nightfall is just one of our events, we’ve got so much more in store! We are getting ready to announce an exciting new Middlesbrough Summer event and we think our Nightfall audiences will love it! It will be full of colour, creativity, memory making, sensory experiences and joy!
Keep your eyes on social media for announcements.
