We’re thrilled to announce that the full programme for Nightfall 2025 is now live!
From Friday 28 – Sunday 30 November, Stewart Park, Middlesbrough will once again be transformed into a glowing world of light, sound and imagination as Nightfall returns with this year’s theme: Larger in Light.
This magical, family-friendly light trail invites visitors on an illuminated journey through art, music and performance, celebrating the extraordinary power of light to connect, transform and inspire.
This year’s trail features stunning new light artworks and returning favourites from local, national and international artists. Expect interactive installations, and moments of wonder around every corner.
Highlights include:
🌷 Tulip Field by Jigantics — begin your adventure among towering illuminated tulips glowing gently against the night sky.
🦊 NocturnANIMALS by Glow Arts Creative — meet a luminous family of woodland creatures guiding you along the trail.
🎻 Eternal Ensemble by ONYVA Studio — an immersive projection and soundscape exploring the beauty of music and shared connection.
🐇 Warren Street by Chloe Rodham — a flurry of radiant rabbits dancing across the park in a joyful projection.
💫 Happy as the Day is Long by Stellar Creates- a giant mirrorball that turns Stewart Park into a dazzling dancefloor for a pop-up silent disco.
🌌 Living Light by Amelia Kosminsky — a tranquil, sensory-friendly space offering calm and reflection amidst the glow of the trail.
🪞 Reflections by Paul Trickett, Made by Raccoons & Morwenna Catt — digital wishing wells inviting you to make a wish for the year ahead.
🦋 Rainforest Butterflies by Anne Bennett — hundreds of glowing butterflies shimmer in the trees, celebrating the fragile beauty of nature.
💦 The Dancing Fountain by Alexis Richter — a spectacular water and light finale where music takes visual form.
Along the route you’ll also find family craft workshops, live DJs, performances, and mouth-watering street food from some of the North East’s best-loved traders.
